Cactus Flowers

One of the little joys of living in the desert is cactus flowers. I woke up this morning to find these flowers blooming in our back yard. This cactus blooms from mid-May through mid-June. Usually it only has one blossom at a time. Each blossom opens before dawn and is finished by afternoon.
