A swing, a glass of wine, a mountain view, and thee

I had made a swing like this in Haiti, and kept the template for the various parts. Jenni has been after me for 4 years to make another one for Arizona, but I don't have the proper power tools--nor do I have the space to make it without leaving a mess all over.

So I asked a friend a church who has a complete woodworking shop attached to his house to make one for us. I gave him the template and he did a fantastic job--the whole thing is made of oak.

Even at 95 degrees it is enjoyable.

This cloud formation was the most unusual I've ever seen. It was fantastic.

I posted this picture on Flickr and it received over 1,200 views in 2 days! It made it for a brief time to the front page of Flickr's Explore page -- a feat of which I am very proud.
