We spent Memorial Day morning at the Tumacacori Mission. This flower is on a pomegranate tree in the courtyard garden. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting for awhile in the shade of this tree. I'll be posting more photos of the mission over the next several days on my Flickr site.
The Tumacacori mission was founded in the late 1600s. I can't imagine living in this desert 300 years ago. I give both the O'ohdam and the Spanish credit for hardiness!
